Institutional Business

Institutional Business vertical of GATL was started with an objective to develop a powerful execution arm within GATL for taking up ground level interventions in partnership with Institutional partners like Government, Banks, NGOs and other bodies interested in agriculture development to ensure long term benefits to the participating farmers.

With its presence & manpower expertise, GATL today has become one of the nodal agencies for various farmer’s welfare projects funded by different departments of Government of Gujarat.

Some of the major projects handled by GATL are as follows:

Department of Agriculture

Demonstration Kit Distribution ( AGR 2,3,4, NFSM) We have been AGR2, AGR3, AGR 4 & NFSM demonstration Kit distribution project of for Department of Agriculture from last 3 years wherein more than 35 different Agri inputs in 33 districts of Gujarat has been provided to more than 1.5 lac beneficiary farmer’s.

Tribal Development Department

Agriculture Diversification Project Agricultural diversification has become a significant component for realizing higher output growth, higher farm income, employment generation and poverty Alleviation. The scheme is helpful for the tribal farmers to increase their family income through different interventions in Agriculture. Under this scheme, tribal beneficiaries are provided with high quality seeds, fertilizers and training for getting high yield per acre of his land. The project proposes cultivation of Maize, Brinjal, Tomato, Bitter Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Okra. GATL has successfully implemented Agri Diversification Projects on behalf of Tribal development Department, GoG, for 5 consecutive years wherein approximately 5lacs ST farmers have been benefitted resulted in improving their socio economic status. This is a zero tolerance Project wherein proper data of each participating farmer is maintained.

Tissue Culture Tissue culture is a technique in which fragments of plants are cultured and grown in a laboratory. This technique is also known as micropropagation. It has proved beneficial for the production of disease-free plants and increase plant yield in developing countries. Oil palm, banana, eggplant, pineapple, rubber tree, tomato, sweet potatoetc. Can be produced by tissue culture. GATL is also handling another tissue culture promotion project in tribal belt of Gujarat where GATL is providing TC sugarcane & banana saplings/ cuttings to beneficiaries’ farmers to increase their income. Cultivation of Tissue Culture plants provides support for livelihood opportunities on account of the benefits of Tissue Culture Plants compared to conventional planting material.

Gujarat Green Revolution Company

Agronomic Services Gujarat Green Revolution Company Limited (GGRC) was established in 2005 to promote a sustainable natural resource management regime in agriculture. It promotes Micro Irrigation System (MIS) along with the use of bio & water soluble fertilisers and clean energy.

GATL has been involved in providing complete package of agronomic support and agro development services to farmers associated with GGRC for micro irrigation systems subsidy schemes of Government of Gujarat for optimum crop productivity. With a dedicated team of 72 field executives, GATL is offering doorstep Agronomic Services to MIS farmers.
